We offset the carbon footprint of your products

We offset the carbon footprint of your products

At ABN we have a strong commitment to the environment and sustainability.

If we are able to measure and offset our environmental impact, why not offer it to our customers?

Desde ABN hemos puesto en marcha el plan ABN// Zero CO2, a pioneering initiative in the sector that offers our customers the possibility of supplying their products with an offset carbon footprint.

Do you want to know how we do it?

With this initiative, ABN promotes a change in behavior among our employees, customers and partners, which in turn has a multiplier effect on the rest of society.

What is the ABN// Zero CO2 programme?

ABN// Zero CO2 is an area of collaboration with our customers that offers the possibility of supplying products with a carbon offset footprint.

How is it compensated?

There are several ways to offset the carbon footprint, such as investing in renewable energy projects, reforestation, biodiversity conservation, among others. Carbon offset projects are usually certified by independent organisations that verify that the emissions reduced or avoided are real, measurable and additional.

Our offsetting projects

The offset projects we work on are part of the Carbon Footprint Offsetting Platform, a United Nations initiative.

Offsetting benefits

El programa ABN// Zero CO2 garantiza el suministro de productos neutros en carbono
Joining our programme ensures that the products supplied for a project or site are carbon neutral. This offsetting is done through the United Nations carbon footprint offsetting platform.
Emission offsetting through the ABN// Zero CO2 scheme contributes to climate action
Companies and organisations must make visible our commitment to the goal of achieving climate neutrality so that our society can eliminate the processes that emit greenhouse gases (GHG).
Offsetting contributes to sustainable growth in developing countries
Every day, all of us generate greenhouse gas emissions that accumulate in the atmosphere and are responsible for climate change. The total of these emissions generated directly or indirectly by a person, organisation, event or product is known as the carbon footprint.
The carbon footprint is calculated by measuring the greenhouse gas emissions (mainly carbon dioxide) that are caused directly or indirectly by a person, organisation or product. These emissions are measured in tonnes of CO2 equivalent (tCO2e) and can include direct emissions, such as the use of fossil fuels to generate electricity, as well as indirect emissions, such as greenhouse gas emissions caused by the production and transport of products. Once emissions have been measured, different methods can be used to calculate the carbon footprint and compare it to a standard or a set limit.
Carbon footprint offsetting is a process of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by investing in projects that reduce or avoid emissions. The idea is that if a person, organisation or product cannot reduce its own emissions sufficiently, it can offset them by investing in projects that reduce emissions elsewhere. There are several ways to offset a carbon footprint, for example, by investing in renewable energy projects, reforestation, biodiversity conservation, among others. Carbon offset projects are usually certified by independent organisations that verify that the emissions reduced or avoided are real and measurable.
Knowing and measuring your carbon footprint will allow you to quantify the emissions generated by your consumption or your company and take measures to minimise your impact: either by directly reducing your emissions or by offsetting the emissions you have not been able to reduce through the purchase of carbon credits.

Climate change is a reality and the main environmental challenge facing our planet. It is a problem that affects us all and whose solution is in our hands: it does not depend on a government, corporation or individual in isolation, but on joint collaboration because the responsibility is shared.
ABN provides voluntary compensation for the material supplied for a specific project or project by collaborating in UN Platform projects with carbon credits proportional to the material supplied.
Yes, we will send you a digital certificate of the voluntary cancellation of emissions. This certificate will indicate the name of the beneficiary to whom the certificate is presented and the reason for the offset.
